Loupes Around the World

Loupes Around the World was founded on February 28, 2007 by Dr. David C. Knight. The objective of the foundation is to provide loupes to surgeons in developing countries who do not have the means to obtain them. We also developed a recycling program ("Recoup The Loupes") through which surgeons are able to donate their old loupes, and the parts are then used to create new loupes for our designated surgeons at a significantly reduced cost.

We have worked with NGOs such as Operation Smile, Interplast, SIGN, and Madaktari to identify potential loupes recipients; additionally we receive referrals from other surgeons as well as individual requests.  As of January 2010, we have provided loupes to over 100 surgeons in more than 40 countries around the world.

Loupes Around the World is charitable foundation incorporated in the state of Connecticut and is currently  approved by the IRS for 501(c) 3 status.
